Dussera is celebrated in different parts of India in different ways. It is a festival to celebrate the victory of good over evil. The good is symbolized by Lord Rama and the evil by the Demon Ravana. It is more popular in the Northern parts of India and huge effigies of Ravana are installed in open spaces.
