Road map to win 2009 General Elections

Elections are a necessary evil in a Democracy – the famous slogan ‘of the people, by the people, for the people’ is fine but when political parties take it to the extreme, the net result becomes suffocating. There are innumerable dos and don’ts that have evolved with time. When a political party finds it difficult to maneuver out of certain situations, they work out a way to bypass the problem rather than root it out. A successful road map to win the 2009 General Elections should include the following important aspects – 

Select the proper candidate

Know the rival candidate

Control the incumbency factor

Provide a guarantee of stability and

Avoid cheap publicity gimmicks
